Research, practice and publications

Every action I take is centered on contributing to the conservation of biodiversity through a lense of environmental and social justice. I am a scientist that seeks to apply her knowledge toward the management and conservation of natural resources. My passion for biodiversity stems from my upbringing in one of the world's biodiversity hotspot regions, the Caribbean. I grew up in Puerto Rico, where I developed visceral ties to nature.  As I move forward in my career I seek to leverage my background in ecology, genetics and social-science to delve into landscape restoration research and practice.

Writing is my most powerful tool

I adore words in Spanish and in English. In the navigation bar you will find my publications in peer reviewed journals and my research blog . Get in touch if you want to talk about my publications, science communication or iguanas.
